Only 78 of Clark County br kids between the ages of six br and eighteen have received br their measles vaccine. WA Governor Jay Inslee br has declared a state of br emergency for the region following br 56 cases of the infectious disease. Parents who choose not to vaccinate br their children do so out of fear it will br cause both physical and behavioral reactions. Doctors contend that the vaccine br is "highly effective" and that the br benefits "greatly outweigh the risks." Measles was once considered br eradicated in the U.S.
