North Koreans attend Kimjongilia flower festival

br While many around the world may be offering red roses for Valentine’s Day, North Koreans attend an annual festival featuring more than 30 thousand Kimjongilia, a large red flower created to honour the country’s former leader Kim Jong Il. The festival is part of a series of events being held in the run-up to the so-called 'Day of the Shining Star,' which marks Kim Jong Il’s birthday on 16th February.
