Speaking of which, central regions including the capital could see up to 7 centimters of heavy snowfall early Tuesday, while Jeju will start to see rain this afternoon, spreading to Jeolla-do and Gyeongsang-do Provinces tonight.

Meanwhile, Gyeonggi-do Province and parts of Gangwon-do will see bad air quality, Seoul could also be covered with relatively bad air.

Taking a closer look at today's temperatures, lows in most areas are kicking off in a negative territory at minus 4 degrees in Seoul, Daejeon, Daegu and Gyeongju.

Skies will turn cloudy as the day goes on and daily highs will range from 6 to 13 degrees Celsius, Seoul getting up to 6 degrees, with showers in store in Jeju and Gwangju.
