8 year-old Pia was blinded in one eye last July when her teacher beat her for not doing her homework. One year later, she and her family are still awaiting justice. Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot had met Pia and had promised help but only provided 25,000 rupees as compensation. No action however has been taken against the teacher.
