EC has told Mayawati to cover all of her and her party symbol statues by 5 pm on Wednesday. The EC wants each and every statue of elephants and of Mayawati to be suitably covered. That's 10 statues of the Chief Minister and 90 elephant statues in Lucknow alone.CEC S Y Quraishi also made it clear that action would also be initiated against statues of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi.
