The row Rushdie's abence has taken strong political overture with the main Opppostion party BJP spokesperson Ravishankar Prasad saying the Congress prevented Rusdie from turning up at the Jaipur Lit Fest because of UP elections. He demanded the whole Rushdie issue to be investigated.
