Barely hours after she invited controversial author Salman Rushdie to visit New Delhi, Chief Minister Sheila Dixit changed her mind. Her office issued a retraction stating that there's is no question of welcoming "The Satanic Verses" author. Earlier in the day, Dixit told reporters that one may have differences with what Rushdie writes, but he's a very eminent writer and a Booker prize winner.
