India News : An alert has been sounded in Delhi following intelligence inputs suggesting movement of suspected terror elements in the run-up to Independence Day celebrations on August 15.br br At a meeting chaired by Police Commissioner B.S. Bassi, senior police officers had reviewed security arrangements for Independence Day. In coordination with intelligence agencies, a close watch has been kept on suspicious activities in the city. The issue of intelligence- sharing, and other counter-terror measures such as tenant verification, was recently taken up during an inter-State coordination meeting attended by police officers of the neighbouring States.
