Condemning the Uttar Pradesh Government's ban against its Chaurasi Kosi Parikrama Yatra in Ayodhya and arrest of more than 1700 people including its top leaders like Praveen Togadia and Ashok Singhal, the VHP on Monday is staging a nationwide protest against the ban.

Meanwhile on Monday, VHP activists gathered in large numbers at Delhi's Jantar Mantar to protest against the crackdown were dispersed by the Delhi Police. Police used water cannons to disperse the agitated protesters.
