After a marathon day-long meeting, marked by bitter bickering and intense infighting, the BJP finally decided to clear the air on its PM candidate Narendra Modi by announcing that he will contest from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. BJP president Rajnath Singh will contest from Lucknow, leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley will make his Lok Sabha poll debut from Amritsar and senior leader Murli Manohar Joshi will contest from Kanpur.
