Former Union Railway minister and three times MP Pawan Kumar Bansal, who is seeking re-election from Chandigarh, on Tuesday declared assets including that of his wife at Rs 7.70 crore, nearly double the amount stated by him during the 2009 Lok Sabha elections. br The Congress nominee, who filed his nomination papers for the Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat today, had declared Rs 3.86 crore as assets during the last general elections. br 65-year old Bansal, an advocate by profession, in the affidavit filed before the Returning Officer here, has shown his and his wife Madhu Bansal's movable assets to the tune of Rs 1.09 crore and Rs 1.60 crore respectively.
