Olympics 2012: Serena Williams beats Maria Sharapova to win gold medal - NewsX

14-time Grand Slam champion, Serena Williams blew away Maria Sharapova 6-love 6-1 to win the Olympic gold medal in the women's singles event. The feat was first achieved by Steffi Graf in 1988 after she swept all four major titles.
