Chennai: Two arrested in metro rail accident case - NewsX

Two persons were arrested today after a crane crash killed a worker and injured six others at Pachaiyappa College metro rail work site on Wednesday. The police said Kanagaraj, site manager of L&T and Rajesh site manager of SUCG were arrested for alleged negligence. "They are officers and we have arrested them for negligence. They will be produced before a court in the evening," said a senior police official. A joint venture of Metro Tunnelling, L&T and SUCG are building underground station in front of Pachayappa's college on Poonamallee high road for Chennai metro rail.
