RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Wednesday cited Lord Buddha as he brushed aside protests from his party's leaders and announced support for the RJD's bitter rival and Bihar's ruling JD-U for the Rajya Sabha bypolls, saying his move would help defeat the "gameplan of communal forces".
