Prime Minister Narendra Modi's close aide and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary Amit Shah will be the next party president, it was announced on Wednesday. Home Minister Rajnath Singh made the announcement shortly before the BJP's Parliamentary board meeting, where Amit Shah's elevation will be confirmed.
