An ongoing protest by aspirants of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) took an ugly turn on Thursday evening after the protestors allegedly torched vehicles and blocked the Outer Ring Road near Wazirabad for hours.The protest began around 7.30 pm in the Mukherjee Nagar area and the protestors, numbering more than 2,000 people, soon moved to the Outer Ring Road near Wazirabad and blocked traffic on the arterial road, police sources said. As a police team reached the spot to try to persuade the protestors to disperse and not block the traffic, heated arguments started that reportedly led to scuffle between the police personnel and protestors.
