Fresh violence has claimed more 4 lives in Kokrajhar district, when unknown assailants fired randomly on a group at Jiaguri. Kokrajhar is under indefinite curfew, that will be reviewed on a day by day basis. Since last week 10 people have been killed in the district following ethnic violence. The area is simmering again because of a new surge of hostilities between the indigenous Bodo tribals and Bengali-speaking Muslim settlers. Meanwhile, an a Bodo Territorial Council militant was arrested in Kokrajhar. Two AK assault rifles, two magazines and 60 rounds of ammunition were recovered from his possession.
