The Election Commission on Sunday asked the Cabinet Secretary to reply to the objections raised by the BJP over the direct cash transfer scheme or DCT announced by the government. The BJP on Thursday had complained to the EC that the announcement of the scheme before the Gujarat polls was a violation of the Code of Conduct. The government has been asked to file their reply by Monday evening.
