The death toll in Nepal from a massive weekend earthquake has risen to 6,100 on Friday, according to a new tally by disaster management officials.

A total of 6,200 people are so far known to have died in Nepal alone from Saturday's quake, and around 100 more in neighbouring India and China. Around 10,000 were injured while the United Nations estimates that 8 million people have been affected by Nepal's worst natural disaster in eight decades.
