Among the first issue that needs to be addressed is how to share major rivers following the division.Telangana has two major rivers Krishna and Godavari.Formation of a new state of Telangana gives the region a lion's share of control on major rivers as it gets to control 68 catchment area of Krishna and 69 of Godavari river respectively.br br However, people of this region have always complained that a major share of the water from these rivers is pumped into Rayalseema leading to shortage of water for irrigation in the Telangana belt.br br The other factor that acts as a major concern is how to share government employees with government departments severely under-represented as only 20 government employees were from Telangana which should have been 40 according to its population.
