The supreme Court of India today dismissed a public interest litigation
which sought quashing of all proceedings against suspended IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal. The apex court said that it will not interfere in the matter.

The petitioner had alleged that Nagpal is suffering hardship by following Supreme Court's order to prevent unauthorised construction of religious buildings on public land and that the apex court should protect her.
Remember, Durga was suspended on July 27 for allegedly ordering the demolition of the wall of an under-construction mosque -- in a village in Noida.

But while the court remained mum on Durga's suspension, it has come down heavily on the arrest of a writer who wrote pro-Durga comments on facebook. A notice has been issued to the Uttar Pradesh. The state has to reply within 4 weeks.
