A manufacturing unit of a bio-diesel company, Biomax Fuels Limited, in the Visakhapatnam SEZ, located at Duvvada, accidentally caught fire late on Tuesday night. There were over 12 workers at the unit but no casualties were reported from the accident site as all of them ran for safety. This was also confirmed by the Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa, who had rushed to the spot immediately after the accident. Out of a total of 18 storage tanks, fire had spread to 12 of them, setting the manufacturing unit ablaze and making it difficult for the fire tenders to take control of the situation.
