A farmer and his elderly mother allegedly committed suicide today by consuming poison at a village near here as they were unable to repay a loan, police said. Farmer Baljeet Singh (30) and his mother Balveer Kaur (60) had taken a loan of Rs 3 lakh from a commission agent by mortgaging their 2 acres of land, they said, adding an old case was going on between the two over the land. Case has been files against 5 people.
