Guwahati: In what has come as shock, a 12-year-old girl was gangraped in an abandoned house by five minor boys in Guwahati. Senior superintendent of police, Guwahati, Anand Prakash Tiwari said that they have arrested five accused who were later found to be minors after a bone-marrow test. The five boys are in the age group of 12 to 16 years and were her neighbours in Hatigaon area. They usually played together, the mother of the victim said in the FIR filed. Informing that the incident took place on Sunday night, Tiwari said that when her mother was not at home, the five boys took the minor girl to an abandoned house where she was raped. "We have collected all technical and scientific evidence from the crime scene to establish the case before the court of law," he said, adding that the arrested boys have been sent to a remand home.
