In a brazen act of appeasement the Akhilesh Yadav government is now moving quickly to wIthdraw cases against the Muzzafarnagar riot accused. The move is all the more outrageous because his government is acting selectively. Indeed the cases are only being withdrawn against Muslim riot accused. Needless to say the move has courted controversy with opponents coming out and accusing Akhilesh of bribing minority voters.
