A restaurant runs by actor Arjun Rampal at Indian Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC)-run five-star Hotel Samrat in posh Chanakyapuri area in the Capital has run into legal hurdle.

Rampal has been served an eviction notice by the ITDC management and faces a threat of closure as the actor has defaulted on payment of rent and owes over Rs.2 crore as dues.

ITDC said, "Rampal has to pay Rs.25 lakh as rent per month for LAP lounge bar and restaurant. He also has to pay separate charges for power, water and cooking gas under the agreement with ITDC. "Rampal stopped payments since October 2012," an ITDC official told.
