The issue of drug trafficking and prostitution at Khirki Extension has come to the fore once again after a investigation exposed that Ugandan women were being pushed into sex trade. Delhi Commission for Women Chairperson Barkha Singh on Tuesday wrote a letter to the Delhi Police Commissioner asking him to depute maximum police personnel in the Khirki Extension area to ensure that no woman, especially a foreigner is forced into prostitution.br She has also urged the commissioner to direct the area SHO to take immediate action. She said, "I have written to the Police Commissioner to increase police force at Khirki Extension but I still maintain that the Law Minister should not have gone there.
