Varun Gandhi is all set to hold a rally in Sultanpur next week, in what is being seen as a virtual confirmation that he will be the BJP's candidate in an area long considered the bastion of his estranged aunt and Congress President Sonia Gandhi's family.br br Gandhi's Feb 11 rally in Sultanpur, which abuts Amethi and Rae Bareli, will only have him as the only star speaker, which is being interpreted in BJP circles as clear proof that the party has all but formally given him the go ahead to contest from there. It could mark the end of decades of an uneasy truce between two strands of the Gandhi family, which have been estranged for decades.
