Ahmed Patel, political secretary of All India Congress Committee president Sonia Gandhi, said on Saturday that some chai-wala had come to him and said that Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi used to be a tea-stall contractor and not a tea-seller. The Congress leader also claimed that cylinders used for 'Chai Pe Charcha' programme were meant for domestic use.br br Patel was speaking at a rally organized in Ahmedabad for workers, who have just joined the party. The public meeting was also meant to formally induct into the Congress leaders of non-governmental organizations and activists, including Raju Dipti, Lalji Desai, and others.
