One hundred and twenty one constituencies in 12 states of the country go to polls in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha election 2014 on Thursday. The states going to the polls include: Karnataka (28 seats), Rajasthan (20 seats), Maharashtra (19 seats), Odisha and UP (11 seats each), MP (10 seats), Bihar (7 seats), Jharkhand (6 seats), Chhattisgarh (3 seats), West Bengal (4 seats) and Jammu and Kashmir and Manipur (1 seat each). br br Over 150 million voters will cast their ballot in this election. A total of 1,769 candidates are in the fray out of which 27 are women. Karnataka has the most number of female candidates among the states going to the election today (21).
