Greenpeace had vehemently denied charges made in the IB report that labeled the NGO as "a threat to national economic security" and alleged that it was violating provisions of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act of 2010 (FCRA). br br The home ministry questionnaire to Greenpeace, a ministry official said, has been sent by the foreigners division of the home ministry which manages FCRA clearances. br br The ministry has asked the NGO to give detailed replies regarding the source of its funds, the beneficiaries and on what activities the funds are spent.
