Prime Minister Modi launched Ayushman Bharat health scheme on 23 September 2018 from the state Jharkhand. Ayushman Bharat Scheme will cover over 10 crore poor and vulnerable families providing cashless coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation.
