While rejecting his bail plea, a city court extended the judicial custody of West Bengal Transport Minister Madan Mitra, arrested in the Saradha scam, till Jan 16.br br The transport minister — accused by CBI of helping siphon off the Ponzi cash — has been in custody for three weeks. CBI alleges that Mitra was part of the 'larger conspiracy' and received large sums of money from kingpin Sudipta Sen as a beneficiary of Saradha.
