Promising stringent action against doctors and officials for performing sterilization surgeries on women against the prescribed norms in Varanasi, chief secretary Alok Ranjan said on Friday the government would ensure there was no repeat of such incidents.br br br On Friday, officials in Varanasi held a sterilization camp at a primary health centre where 73 women were operated upon in four hours. Due to lack of adequate facilities to accommodate the patients, the women were then askeed to recoup on the floor before being discharged.
