A moderate intensity earthquake of 5.3 magnitude hit Andaman Islands on Friday afternoon, a week after a massive earthquake devastated Nepal with tremors felt across India. The epicentre of the quake is 135 km southwest of Port Blair. The tremors were felt at 2:28 PM. No loss of life or property was immediately reported.
