A 15-year-old female athlete was killed on Thursday and three others are hospitalized after they consumed poisonous fruit in an apparent suicide pact following alleged harassment by the seniors. All four were undergoing training at Water Sports Centre of Sports Authority of India. According to the reports, the girls are suspected to have consumed the fruit, locally called ‘Othalanga’, at around 3 PM on Wednesday within the premises of SAI women’s hostel.
