After IIT Madras, protests have now gripped the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India. The protests follow the appointment of Actor and BJP member Gajendra Chauhan as the new FTII Chief. Students have labelled the appointment political, saying that veterans like Gulzar and Shyam Benegal were overlooked.
