FTII protest: Five students arrested over protest against director late night, charged with rioting

In a late night crackdown, police entered the campus of the Film and Television Institute of India and took 5 students in custody. 17 Students are said to have been named in the FIR. The police were said to be acting on an FIR by the institute’s director Prashant Pathrabe. The students have been charged with unlawful assembly, rioting, wrongful restraint and criminal intimidation.
