The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Friday announced that the meat ban in the state will be lifted on September 13 and 18. The Maharashtra government headed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has banned the sale and consumption of meat in view of Paryushan, a Jain festival.
