The Gujarat police cracked down on the Patel agitation in the state. 17 of Hardik Patel's aides were arrested while the leader escaped. A haeas corpus petition was filed in the High Court which proceeded to hear it at a judge's residence at midnight.. The state police has now launched a state wide search for the Patel community leader.
