Folk singer arrested in Tamil Nadu for criticising Jayalalithaa in a song

A day after a Tamil folk artist was detained by the Chennai police for daring to criticise the AIADMK government... the opposition is training its guns at the Jaya govt's zero tolerance to dissent. Kovan, a member of MKIK- a performance group based in Trichy - was picked by the chennai police at 2am on Friday. He had recently released a song claiming the whole of Tamil Nadu is under the influence of alcohol and that "Poes" - where chief minister Jayalalithaa resides - is rejoicing.
