The city of Chennai has come to standstill. NDRF has rescued more than 7,000 people. But many still marooned. The sun came out in the city yesterday, but the water level has been rising in some areas. Meanwhile the Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an Aerial Survey of Chennai and announced relief of Rs.1000 Crore for Tamil Nadu.
