The mortal remains of Havildar M. Elumalai (38), who was killed in an avalanche in Siachen, reached his home in Adukkamparai, nearly 10 kilometres from Vellore, during the early hours of Tuesday. He was laid to rest with full military and police honours at close to 10.30 a.m. The body was brought to his residence by road from Chennai. School Education Minister K.C. Veeramani along with Collector R. Nanthagopal paying homage at his residence.
