Overseas, the Brie Larson-led flick br has made nearly $500 million. Its $5.6 million opening score is the biggest for a standalone Marvel movie in Japan's box office history. With the film also performing well in China, analysts expect it to easily surpass $1 billion. The Oscar-winning Larson will return as the hero in next month's br 'Avengers: Endgame.
