Supreme Court Rules on br Indiana Abortion Restriction The Court upheld a block to an br Indiana law that allowed the br state to prohibit abortions motivated br solely by race, sex or disability. The court also ruled that br the portion of the law which br requires clinics to either cremate br or bury fetal remains will remain intact. Vice President Mike Pence br signed the Indiana bill into br law in 2016 when he wasbr governor of the state. Pence tweeted his br reaction to the ruling. Justice Thomas wrote that br though the Supreme Court br "declines to wade into these issues br today, we cannot avoid them forever." Thomas also compared br abortions based on race, br sex or disability to "the views of the br 20th Century eugenic movement." The four other br conservative justices did br not join Thomas in his statements.
