CG-Animated SpongeBob
Prequel Series A new CG-animated series titled ‘Kamp Koral’
has been slated for production by Nickelodeon. The 13 episode series is a prequel to the
classic SpongeBob show, which first
aired on the network in 1999. It will feature a 10-year-old SpongeBob and his friends
as they spend the summer at a sleep-away camp. Ramsey Naito, Nickelodeon’s EVP of animation
production and development, believes the series will
expand on the “incredible universe” of SpongeBob. Ramsey Naito,
via ‘Variety’ Marc Ceccarelli and Vincent Waller are
executive producers on the project, with
production scheduled to begin in June 2019.
