US President Donald Trump has said he is sure that Hong Kong and Beijing will “be able to work it out” after recent violent demonstrations against a controversial extradition bill. Trump made his remarks just after protesters and police clashed outside Hong Kong’s legislature on June 12, 2019, and following a march on June 9 that organisers say drew over a million demonstrators.
