Korean small and mid-sized firms' exports grow 0.7% y/y, highest figure for May

South Korea's small and mid-sized companies saw record exports in the month of May.
According to the Ministry of SMEs and Startups Sunday,... local SMEs saw their outbound shipments rise to 9-point-three billion U.S. dollars in May,... a zero-point-seven percent increase on-year.
Last month's record-high exports was driven by demand from Vietnam and Russia,... and exports of machinery equipment.
The number of small and mid-sized firms in the country totaled 45-thousand as of last month,... up nearly two percent on-year.
