Some 20 people are being treated in hospitals after showing symptoms of ‘Chikungunya’ since two week ago.
Meanwhile, State Health Department Director Datuk Dr Norhizan Ismail released a statement on Saturday evening that preliminary investigations based on the patients’ symptoms suggest that they are likely to have the Chikungunya disease, although his department does not rule out other possible illnesses.
He also urged those who have symptoms of fever and joint pain, especially residents of Jalan Tunku Ibrahim area to seek further treatment at nearby health facilities.
