Malaysian customs officers have seized thousands of turtles at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Two Indian nationals were arrested in connection with the case as they arrived on a flight from China on Thursday, June 20, 2019. Authorities said 5,255 red-eared slider terrapins were found in baskets packed inside suitcases the men were carrying.
